Yo friends! It’s my Quarter-of-a-Year Birthday today! I’m going to celebrate by singing and dancing to my favorite song of the month, “Single Ladies,” by Beyonce. At my crib (pun definitely intended), we like to change the lyrics to “All the baby boys,” or “All the single babies.” I love singing and dancing so much. My mom is really good at helping me with my baby boy moves. Even though she helps me, I can do a few moves on my own. I know how to hold  both my feet in the air and hold them together. I also do a lot of expressions with my eyebrows.  I also really love the song “We are Young,” by Fun. When I’m not singing or dancing, I like to put my fists in my mouth. I have been trying my whole life to figure out that whole thumb sucking thing, but it is just too hard. So instead, I just put both fists in my mouth. You get more that way, anyway. I love morning time. I can’t wait to start my day. I like to start my day off with a song, followed by some communication with the whales. Then I like to down a four ouncer of milk. Sometimes though, I am just so excited about seeing my mom and dad, and what the day holds, that I just laugh and play during my morning feeding. I am still holding out on the diaper loading until morning time. I like to load my diaper during my first feeding of the morning. It is really funny to watch the reaction of my mom while she is feeding me my milk. After I get my milk, my mom starts filling up more bottles for me for later. I love to watch this, it is so funny. I even love to dance to the sound of my mom’s pump. Did you know that wherever I go, everyone is making a song just for me? The birds, the milk pump, the garbage man…they all know I love to dance and they make songs just for me. After my morning milk and dance, I am so tired and I take an hour nap in my bouncy seat. When I wake up, someone better be there for me. If I can’t see anyone, I will scream! If mom has to wash dishes, do laundry or go potty, she better bring me with her. Mom says I can scream like a one year old baby. I am getting so big. I have been sleeping in mom and dad’s room since I was born in a basinet. On March 17, my dad transitioned me into the pack-n-play because I got so tall that my feet were hanging over the edge of the bassinet. I heard mom and dad talking about how they were going to keep me in the pack-n-play for a few weeks so I could get used to the space and then they would put me up in my crib. Ha! I showed them. Last week, they put me to sleep up stairs in my crib, and I only lasted four hours. This is pretty typical, though. I like to wake up in the night, four hours after my mom and dad put me to sleep, and cry for a bottle. After that, I WILL NOT go back to sleep in my bed. I must sleep in between my mom and dad with their covers. I do like to lay in my crib sometimes, though, and stare at the ceiling fan. I love ceiling fans. Have you seen them? The contrast between the dark fan and the white ceiling is amazing. I also love when my dad picks me up and holds me in the air and then puts me back down repeatedly. This makes me laugh so much. My doctor, Dr. Jones, says I am very alert and I am always moving. I am always moving my arms, feet…even my eyebrows. It is probably all this moving that has made me so strong. I hold my head up all on my own now, and I can practically sit up like a big boy all my myself. Mom and dad are going to get me a Bumbo seat soon. I can stand with mom and dad’s help, too. I went to the doctor for a check-up on March 20, and I thought it was all fun and games when my dad took my clothes off and started playing with me. Then Dr. Jones came in, and it all came back to me…I remembered this guy from when I was just a two-week old and he did this  horrible baby boy operation on me. This time, the man had the nerve to give me three shots. I found out I was in the 62nd percentile for my weight at 12 pounds 12 ounces, 87th percentile for my height at 24.5 inches and had a head circumference of 16 inches ranking in the 56th percentile. I love to sit on my dad’s lap and watch him work on his computer. I also love to sit on the couch with my dad. Mom and dad say I am not allowed to watch any TV until I am at least one, but I sneak a peak all the time. I have outgrown my newborn diapers and I am now wearing size one diapers. For some strange reason, my mom started crying when she put the left-over newborn diapers in storage. She also cried when I when dad put the bassinet away, too. I still love to be held all the time. My legs have three rolls on them now. My mom has been spending some time with other moms who have babies lately, and I look a lot like some of the 6-month old babies. My 0-3 month-sized clothes hardly fit me anymore. I am wearing 3-6 month clothes now. I really like wearing nothing, though. It is hot here in Arizona. It is getting so hot, that me and mom have stopped going on as many walks. When we do go, I leave a big sweaty spot in the car seat. Sometimes I don’t like to be put down at all during the day. Someone needs to tell my mom and dad that life would be a lot easier for them if they just stood up all day and held me while bouncing slightly. Is that too much to ask? My Grandma Marsha gave me this little security blanket this month because I really needed it. I have to be holding onto something when I am resting, and this giraffe security blanket is perfect. The blanket also works great for when I get shy. I like to pull it up in front of my face and smile. I get shy sometimes when my mom sings me songs and touches my cheeks. I had my first Saint Patrick’s Day. My mom and dad both had food poisoning that weekend and it was really hard for them, but me especially. I was up all night and they just kept laying in bed and then ran back and fourth to the bathroom. So weird. Hello mom and dad, have you ever heard of diapers? They save a lot of trips to the bathroom. I also had my first Easter. Mom and dad said this Easter Bunny guy came to our house and left me a monkey basket with plastic Easter eggs, new pacifiers, some white onsies for my monthly photo shoot, bubbles and a monkey stuffed animal. Mom made me lay outside on a blanket with eggs all around me and she just kept taking pictures of me in the sun. She’s so annoying sometimes. On March 31, mom and dad dropped me off with a neighbor to babysit me for the first time. They went to a movie and left me with Brittany and we had so much fun. Mom and dad were so excited to see me when they came to pick me up three hours later. Maybe they should drop me off more often. Mom says I have a cute smile because I curl the right side of my mouth up. She also says I look exactly like she did when she was a baby. Sometimes, my mom and dad say I look like my dad’s twin brother, Uncle Pip. My hair is still like my dad’s though–non-existent. Mom loves the cowlick I have right above my right eye on my forehead, though. At first she was a little worried about what the future of this cowlick would hold, but now she says it will look cute if it is curly. Plus, she is always playing with it, and I love that. What I don’t love, is when my mom and dad try to pick all the goop out of my ears–I have a lot of it. I do LOVE baths, though. They are one of my favorite things. Its fun to pee in the bath, too. And sometimes it’s fun to go poopie on my ducky towel right after a bath before my mom can get my diaper on.  Something else that is really funny is when my mom wears a bun or a pony tail on the top of her head. That makes me laugh. My mom says it is really sad when I give her my puppy face. I push out my bottom lip and begin to cry softly. This helps me get my way a lot. Well, I just wanted to let you all know how I am doing and give you all a reason to do a dance to Beyonce music.
